We are pleased to welcome Johannes Felsenberg from the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research at the University of Basel as the next guest in the colloquium series SFB 1280 presents. The talk has been postponed, the new date will follow soon. The focus of his work is the study of extinction, reconsolidation and recovery of memories in the fruit fly Drosophilia Melanogaster. Central to this are olfactory cues that the fly associates with aversive or rewarding stimuli. In his talk, he provides an overview of how recurrent circuits use dopaminergic signaling to establish different mechanisms of memory reappraisal.
