The News-Portal of the IfADo reports:

Watching the brain at work and researching its functions – this is now possible at the Leibniz Institute for Human Factors Research at TU Dortmund University (IfADo) with the help of a magnetic resonance tomograph (MRI). The MRI device with a field strength of three tesla will strengthen interdisciplinary research on the welfare and protection of working people at IfADo.

Researchers at IfADo will use the MRI to comprehensively investigate brain structure and function in different contexts. For example, they will address the questions of how the brain changes with age and which neuronal processes are responsible for performance deterioration.
