ReproducibiliTEA “Paper Mills”

The SFB 1280 ReproducibiliTea is back with a new session titled “Paper Mills: A Threat to Academic Integrity.” The existence of paper mills has affected scientific practices on many levels. What are paper mills? Why do they exist? Are we too late to prevent them?

The following paper provides the basis for the discussion:

Abalkina A, Aquarius R, Bik E, Bimler D, Bishop D, Byrne J, Cabanac G, Day A, Labbé C, Wise N. ‘Stamp out paper mills’ – science sleuths on how to fight fake research. Nature. 2025 Jan;637(8048):1047-1050. doi: 10.1038/d41586-025-00212-1.

The event will start on Tuesday, 06.05.2025 as usual at 14:00, either in IB/6-127 at RUB or online via zoom.
