Science communication is more important than ever—but it comes with challenges. Anyone who communicates publicly is confronted with hate speech, personal attacks, and disinformation in the scientific context. How can we as researchers deal with this—and actively combat it?
Kristin Küter offers answers in the workshop “Hostilities in science communication? A hands-on workshop on dealing with hate speech and hostility towards science.” Ms. Küter is the managing director and co-founder of Scicomm-Support, a national contact point for attacks and conflicts in science communication. In the workshop, she will present various measures for dealing with these issues and also conduct a practical simulation.
The workshop will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in room IB 6/127 at RUB.
