The next round of the SFB 1280 ReproducibiliTEA deals with reporting and citation bias. It is about why the selective choice of sources and the non-publication of non-significant results influences science and how this can be improved in one’s own research.

The following paper provides the basis for the discussion:

De Vries, Y. A., Roest, A. M., de Jonge, P., Cuijpers, P., Munafò, M. R., & Bastiaansen, J. A. (2018). The cumulative effect of reporting and citation biases on the apparent efficacy of treatments: the case of depression. Psychological Medicine, 48(15), 2453-2455. doi:10.1017/S0033291718001873

The event will start on Tuesday, 18.02.2025 as usual at 14:00, either in IB/6-127 at RUB or online via zoom.
